DERBY GOLF CLUB

THE SIXTEENTH

A very generous split fairway, with more room on the right than is obvious. Left is dead in the trees. Avoid the fairway bunker with
your second shot and cash in an easy par 5.
A well guarded but relatively flat green.

THE SEVENTEENTH

Again a very straight forward driving hole, the tough shot is
the second to a green that is
not visible. Avoid the magnetic bunker on the left. A very
good hole to par and catch
up on.

THE EIGHTEENTH

Shortest par 4 on the course and long hitters will want to have a go, but much trouble awaits. The smart way is to lay up and have an easy second to the green but as the trees grow taller and wider year on year this method gets harder each year. Avoid getting stuck behind the big oak tree on the left and pitch to a well guarded green and then just roll in your put for a birdie.
Head for the 19th and a drink or meal that will easily complement the quality of the Golf Course.
