DERBY GOLF CLUB

THE FIRST

A slight dog leg right and quite a testing start to a tough 9 holes.
Avoid the Copse on the right as anything in here is dead.
An Ideal drive is down the left
side of the fairway leaving a straight forward approach to a well guarded green. Anything pulled left is in trouble.

THE THIRD

In my opinion : the hardest hole on the course. A testing par 4 where a long straight drive is required to  stand any chance
of reaching the green in two. Played by most as a
par 5 where a lay up to the
corner leaves an easy pitch
on to the green. For the longer hitter a drive up the left side
of the fairway leaves a shorter
but more daunting

shot
over some very tall trees.

THE SECOND

A good solid strike is required to a green well guarded on
both sides and to the rear. It is a tough up and down from
a left or right stray shot .
Better to be short rather
 than long.
Enjoy this hole as it only gets tougher from here on.
